Spammers: Please Grow Up!

25 June, 2008 (19:57) | Rants | By: admin

Well, here we go again with another apology. After a promise to pay more attention to this blog, it’s yet again been left alone for far too long! I’ve been so busy with my sports site - which is hard work, but becoming very successful - that I’ve neglected this blog and our main Internet Marketing Success site for too long.

But, here is yet another promise to make this blog a great one. I’ve updated the theme yet again to a fresh, clean one - which hopefully pleases the eye and makes it more readable.

There is a free gift at the bottom of this rant to help apologise…….

So, on to the rant.

Spammers. Why do you exist? Are you all failed home business owners, desperately trying to make some pennies/cents online and think this is the only way to do it?

Try building a business - rather than breaking the law. I get so many spam emails in my account, that I’m missing important emails from subscribers and/or customers and it’s doing my head in. I have now installed Kaspersky Internet Security which also scans all emails, and thankfully it’s deleting most of the spam before it reaches my inbox.

I have also - finally - activated Akismet on this blog to help combat the 1000+ spam comments I get here daily. It was long overdue, and I’m already seeing the benefits. If you have a Wordpress blog, activate it now to save yourself endless hours deleting spam comments.

Why would the readers of this blog be interested in buying your Viagra pills, or getting penis enlargements?!?!

Well, they may be - but I’m sure they’ve not come to this site to find links to such sites. I don’t know why I’m writing this to you spammers. You blatantly do not read sites such as this, otherwise you would realise there is more money made with building a real business rather than blasting hundreds of emails and comments around the Internet in the hope that your email will be read, or your comment posted on the site.

Crawl back under your rock and have a word with yourself. Once you emerge as a reformed character, please feel free to return to this site and learn how to build a real business.

Rant over!

Here is your free gift

This ebook is about 4 years old - but it’s as fresh today as it was when first released. It’s called Fail As Fast As Possible’ And Other Contrarian Business Success Secrets.

If you are serious about creating, or improving, your online business, then I highly recommend you read this book. Click Here to Download (Opens in a new window).

What Is Your Unique Selling Point?

21 April, 2008 (01:38) | Internet Marketing Basics | By: admin

Hello readers!

Well, here is the first post on the newly designed Internet Marketing Success Blog. As mentioned already, I will try and post daily - try being the buzz word!

Today I want to talk a little bit about USP - or Unique Selling Point.

Let’s set the scene. You have a site about golf. If you search Google for the word ‘golf’ you are presented with approx 433,000,000 results. That’s 433 MILLION!

How about ‘golf swing’ - approx 3 and a half million results.

The point I’m trying to make is that whatever niche you are marketing in (or planning to), you have a massive amount of competition. A huge number of sites will be desperately trying to market to Internet users interested in this niche.

How do you possibly compete? You gotta have a USP. You have to stand out amongst the crowd. I’m not talking SEO here (obviously a search engine optimized site will result in a higher ranking in the search engine).

Your website needs a ‘wow’ factor. When someone enters your site, you need them to be amazed by something. Amazed enough that next time they are searching for information, or products, or services, you are at the forefront of their mind.

So, how do you set yourself apart from all your competitors? It could be any number of things. For example;

  • Value for money
  • Website presentation
  • Ease of navigation
  • Free gifts
  • Customer service

So, what is your USP? Get into your website visitors mindset. Think about what they are looking for, and what would make it easier for them. Are they more likely to appreciate an attractive website - or a low cost deal?

Develop your USP today, and set yourself apart from the competition. Think about your USP in every marketing action you take.

Hope that all makes sense. It’s been a long day and I’m tired.

Any questions or comments? Make your comments below…….

Welcome To The New Theme!

19 April, 2008 (23:35) | Site News | By: admin

Hello all readers,

Just a quick post to point out (if for some strange reason you didn’t notice) that we have installed a new theme here at our Internet Marketing Success Blog.

We have tried to give you a more user-friendly blog with a clean, fresh appearance.

All Adsense ads are gone. We felt they were an unwanted distraction and cluttered up the blog. A page full of ads doesn’t engage the reader and almost forces visitors away from the site.

We would rather keep our readers on the site than earn the measly $10 per day that the Adsense ads were earning us.

So, what are your thoughts? Do you like the new, fresh look to the site?

We are also committed more than ever to making this a blog you will want to visit again and again. Rather than posting an article every now and again, we will now be keeping you updated with everything we get up to. That is, after all, what a blog is supposed to be right?!

Hope you enjoy the new site - and look forward to talking with you all soon.

Regards,

Kevin Davis

The Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business on the Internet

30 March, 2008 (21:16) | Highly Recommended, Internet Marketing Basics, Latest Products | By: admin

Product Review:

“The Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business
on the Internet — VERSION 2008

By Derek Gehl and The Internet Marketing Center

I’ve just finished reading the step-by-step guide considered by many to be the Internet marketing BIBLE “The Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business on the Internet VERSION 2008″…

And I have to tell you I’m completely blown away by the sheer volume of money-making information Derek Gehl has managed to pack in!

“Insider Secrets” reveals the *exact* step-by-step formula the Internet Marketing Center (of which Derek is the CEO) has used to grow a $25 investment to over $60,000,000 in online sales.

And it’s hot off the presses after being updated for 2008 with the very latest cutting-edge strategies for profiting online!

In TWO 8″ x 11″ full color binders containing 800+ pages, broken down into 64 lessons, this system is packed FULL of:

  • Step-by-step Internet marketing strategies for both Internet newbies AND experienced website owners
  • Action Plans at the end of every lesson telling you the EXACT steps you need to take next
  • In-depth case studies of successful e-business owners (like inner city kid Jermaine G., who raked in over $800,000 last year teaching people how to play the piano online!)

I’m really impressed by the combination of basic AND advanced website profit strategies Derek has poured into “Insider Secrets”

… So if you’re a total Internet newbie, you’ll learn how to transform your hobbies and passions into a lucrative online business you can grow from scratch!

And if you already have an Internet business, the advanced sections of this system will show you how you can send your online profits through the ceiling!

After testing out a handful of the strategies myself, I was left speechless by how effective — and profitable — each one was…

In “Insider Secrets VERSION 2008,” you’ll discover:

  • FREE tools and resources you can use to easily build a website in less than a few hours – even if you have ZERO web design experience!
  • How to develop a brand new product (for FREE!) in less than 2 weeks!
  • The secrets to growing an opt-in list like crazyeven on websites that get almost NO traffic!
  • Little-known, one-minute salescopy trick that can increase online sales by up to 714%… or more!
  • How to recruit an ARMY of eager salespeople for zero money up front
    – you don’t pay them until they make a sale!
  • The most lucrative, no-brainer product to sell on the Internet — how does 100% NET PROFIT sound?
  • How to score a top ranking in the search engines and directories like Google, Yahoo!, AltaVista, ODP, AllTheWeb, Ask, and more!… And that’s barely scratching the surface!

But Derek Gehl doesn’t stop there…

He also throws in FIVE super bonuses — including 4 resource CDs and one DVD — with additional lessons, examples, interviews, and website reviews!

I give Insider Secrets VERSION 2008 a perfect 10 out of 10 without hesitation.

And the cool part is that you can take this step-by-step blueprint to online profits out for a test drive RISK FREE!

Twisted Marketing Tactics - Tips 21-25

28 February, 2008 (00:07) | Internet Marketing Basics | By: admin

21. The “Enjoy The Process” Tactic

The “get (your products benefit) from doing something you (enjoy, love, like, etc)…” tactic tells your prospects it won’t be unenjoyable gaining their desired benefit with your product. For example, it can be unpleasant trying to lose weight but your product will allow people to eat anything they want, exercise by dancing, workout while playing games, etc. You just need to apply those types of fun and comfortable concepts to your own product or niche.

22. The “Helpful Owner” Tactic

The “use my affiliate bonus for your own product…” tactic tells your prospects (the affiliate product owner) they can offer your affiliate bonus to their own list if they use your affiliate link. This will allow the product owner to persuade the people on his list that were close to buying before. He’ll make sales for his product and make you commissions at the same time.

23. The “Just Copy Me” Tactic

The “sell this same product with the same rights…” tactic tells your prospects that if people buy your resell, master resell, source code or private label product they can turn around and sell it with all the rights intact. You could even package it as a bonus and mention they will get the same exact sales letter, web page template, graphics thank you page as you are using and they just have to insert their name and order link. You can also tell them that is the reason you don’t offer an affiliate program for it and they can do the same to their own customers.

24. The “Money Isn’t Important” Tactic

The “you are just $(no.) away from (benefit)…” tactic tells your prospects that the benefit of your product will far outweigh the price it costs. You can even show them a picture or graphic of the exact amount of money you are asking for your product. It will show them that money is just a physical benefit while getting your product’s benefit is an emotional one which is usually the deciding factor.

25. The “Globe It” Tactic

The “it’s a (niche) worldwide phenomenon…” tactic tells your prospects that the whole (niche) world (at least most of it) thinks your product is the answer to their problems. If you can prove most of the people on your niche all over the planet believe in your product then your prospects won’t want to be left out. For example, every marketer on earth is conscious of the benefits of our product.

Affiliate Program - Information For Those Interested In Learning More

25 February, 2008 (19:24) | Affiliate Marketing, Internet Marketing Basics | By: admin

What is the Affiliate Business Internet Marketing Online? And how can you profit from it? The idea of affiliate program or business is in fact a very simple marketing strategy. In part it is an outgrowth of the Internet and free email services. Imagine that you are standing in the middle of a crowd of hundreds of millions of people with money in their pockets, and a desire to spend it.

If you had a product to sell, it would seem that you are in Heaven, wouldn’t it? If you are planning to engage in Affiliate Business Internet Marketing Online in an active role, you either need to start getting people who visit your site to subscribe to your newsletter, or you need to by lists of addresses from people who gather lists of “double opt-in” subscribers.

A double opt-in has to not only agree to accept email from one site, but also has to agree to accept emails from unspecified “others” who may be affiliated with the site you subscribed to.
Now imagine that you have the ability to send each of them a piece of mail every day. No need to imagine; you can do it. What’s the catch? The catch is that you need their exact address, and their permission to send them the mail.

How do you get this permission? New laws in the U.S. governing Spam, require that you acquire this permission from the addressee, and that the addressee has the right to cancel that permission at any time.
Whether or not you are in an Affiliate Marketing Program, you are continually being offered the option to join some marketer’s “list.” Whatever you are interested in; whatever you read on the Internet, you surely have seen an invitation to receive a “newsletter” from that site. If you “subscribe” to the newsletter, you are a captured address with a “single opt-in.”

With you being a “single op-in” the owner of the newsletter has certain rights with regard to sending you emails. These rights include, but may not be limited to sending you “offers” directly from the owner of the newsletter. Before you subscribe to any newsletter, READ the “terms and conditions” and the “privacy policy” of that site, (you know, those two little boxes you check without reading just to get your newsletter).
The affiliate program or programs are challenging to figure out in the beginning, just stick to your guns and you will have it worked out quickly.

Remember, targeted marketing, research and websites that convert into sales are key to the affiliate program marketing business. Buy a book from an authority in the business, understand what it’s all about, and then jump in and start promoting! This is definitely a business anyone can enjoy and profit from! An affiliate program can definitely make your profits increase over only just a short period of time so there would not be any need in you worrying over if you have made the right decision.

Twisted Marketing Tactics - Tips 16-20

8 February, 2008 (22:54) | Internet Marketing Basics | By: admin

Apologies for the slight gap in posting! However, this should have given you time to start utilising the first 15 tips!

Here are the next set of tips;

16. The “Physical Affiliate” Tactic

The “grab a (an unrelated, high priced physical bonus)…” tactic tells your prospects that you are offering them an expensive physical bonus for buying an expensive product through your affiliate link. You want it to be a product that anyone one would want no matter what niche you’re selling to. In order to afford the physical bonus and still make a profit from your commissions you could buy many of them at once for a bulk, wholesale price and only offer so many. Also tell them that you will ship it free of charge to anywhere in the world. It could be a computer, stereo, piece of furniture, DVD player, etc. You may also try finding physical bonuses for cheap at online auctions.

17. The “Copywriter Revealed” Tactic

The “this sales letter was written by (the famous copywriters name)…” tactic tells your prospects that if they promote your product through your affiliate program or with resell rights they will be sending them to a professional, high converting sales letter. If the copywriter isn’t too famous tell them how much money you made on the last sales letter he/she wrote for you. For example, the last sales letter he wrote for me grossed me over $300,000.

18. The “First Hand” Tactic

The “I know this is a quality product because I’ve helped with (a job of product development)…” tactic tells your prospects that you have first hand experience with the product and they should buy through your affiliate link. It could be that you were a beta tester, product designer, material supplier, manufacturer, researcher, etc.

19. The “Super Helper” Tactic

The “I’ll help you become a super affiliate…” tactic tells your prospects that you will help them make affiliate sales if they by the product through your affiliate link. You could offer them a template of your e-mail sales letter that you’ve personaly written for yourself, the affiliate product bonus package you are offering, an advertisement on one of your many webs sites, a free affiliate training teleseminar, etc.

20. The “Useless Bonus” Tactic

The “Bonus: An (unrelated type of product)…” tactic tells your prospects that your product bonus or affiliate bonus isn’t in the same niche as the main product you are promoting. To make the bonus more persuasive tell them all the things they could do with a bonus that they may not want or need like: offer it to someone else as a present, make money selling it at an online auction, donate it to a charity, etc.

Twisted Marketing Tactics - Tips 11-15

29 January, 2008 (00:08) | Internet Marketing Basics | By: admin

Here are the next 5 Twisted Marketing Tactics

11. The “Featured Symbol” Tactic

The “it contains (no.) pages of gold…” tactic tells your prospects that you are comparing a feature of your product to something that’s unrelated that people consider valuable, exciting or attractive. Just so you understand here is another example; this car has 5 gears of dynamite. You also can use related visuals like symbols or objects that would persuade them to purchase your product too.

12. The “Lite Or Full” Tactic

The “OTO: get the lite version for only $(no.)…” tactic tells your prospects if they can’t afford your first ‘One Time Offer” they can buy the lite version of your product for less on the second OTO. If they really like the lite version of your product you could allow them another chance to upgrade to your full version (the first OTO) for a slightly higher price.

13. The “My Sources” Tactic

The “you’ll get our personal list of recommended outsourcing sources…” tactic tells your prospects that if they purchase your product rights, business opportunity or business how to information product they will have access to your freelancers, venders and suppliers. Anyone that goes into business may outsource part of their work to web designers, software coders, web hosts, ghostwriters, copywriters, lawyers, accountants, etc.

14. The “Golden Eye” Tactic

The “the visuals alone are worth the price…” tactic tells your prospects that the images and pictures in your product or the looks of your product are very valuable. People will assume they are getting a great bargain. To back up your claims you could show them a proof of purchase receipt from people you hired like professional graphic designers, artists, photography, product imagine designers, decorators, painters, etc.

15. The “Two-Way Bonus” Tactic

The “get my bonuses for both products…” tactic tells your prospects that you are giving them a bonus product package if they by one or two products through your affiliate link. If one product is way more expensive you could add extra bonuses to your product packages on top of the normal ones so it influences them to buy the more expensive one too. You could also tell them that your bonus package is only valid until a certain date to create more urgency.

Kevin
